Private tutor in Toronto, Canada
Education
PhD in Electrical Engineering, MSc in Physics, and BASc in Engineering Science (the most prestigious Engineering program in Canada), all from the University of Toronto. My graduate research was focused on developing laser applications for next generation glass-based platforms in the field of nonlinear and quantum optics.
Experience
With over 15 years of teaching experience, I love encouraging students to think through problems themselves while guiding them with applicable, real life examples. I have taught both university and high school math, physics, and engineering subjects as a one-on-one tutor, teaching assistant, and classroom lecturer. Specific university course specialties include Mechanics (CIV100/102), Dynamics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, and Engineering Communications. I am currently a full-time software developer and can teach programming to both students and adults.

Hobbies
When I'm not goofing around with my young sons, I enjoy playing interactive board games, such as Agricola, Avalon, and Shadow Hunters with friends. I also enjoy singing along to pop music and occasionally playing the violin, cello, and flute for my friends' weddings. Finally, I love reading fantasy novels and can't wait for G.R.R. Martin to finish his Song of Ice and Fire series.
