Experience
I have experience tutoring high school and university students in various subjects, but I specialize in English, Psychology, and Religion/Global/Cultural studies. I love creative writing, and am available to help in any capacity in your writing process. This includes help with essay writing process eg. brain storming, finding a thesis, finding academic sources. I have written a number of academic papers in the sciences and arts, and know how to tailor a piece of writing in both situations. I am also available to tutor elementary students. I have extensive experience working with young children, working with kids from the ages of 8-18 and volunteering as a camp counselor for a number of years. I have volunteered at a treatment centre working with young children facing an array of challenges from behavioural issues to motor skill development. I have also volunteered with Mosaic Family and Counselling services as a tutor for Pathways to Education, in which I worked with high school students in groups after school and helped them with their homework after school. What You Can Expect From Me: As your (or your child's) tutor, you can expect that I will meet with you to improve your skills in an area of academic study. I am happy to help you in whatever capacity you need - improving your research skills, editing and helping improve your grammar and spelling, or helping you to map out your plan of action on a project. However, please keep in mind that I cannot do your work for you. What I Expect From My Students: As my student, I need to see that the time we spend in our tutoring sessions is helping to guide you in your solitary studies. In order to get the most out of our sessions, you must commit to doing your work outside of our time together. This will help to ensure your success, and allow me to perform my job effectively.

I am an avid music and theatre lover. Along with playing guitar, I also participated in Laurier Musical Theatre and the Laurier Fringe festival as an actor throughout university. I love to read and among my favourite authors are Stephen King and JK Rowling.
