I am a York University graduate double majoring in ENGLISH and HISTORY. I have 9 years of both teaching and tutoring experience in HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH AND HISTORY, GRADE 7 AND 8 LANGUAGE ARTS AND HISTORY, and READING AND WRITING SKILLS FOR GRADES 2-6, as well as UNIVERSITY LITERATURE. My strengths are teaching ESSAY WRITING, GRAMMAR EDITING, and LITERARY ANALYSIS. I have read several of the NOVELS most English high school classes teach. I am a very enthusiastic and friendly tutor, but I am not afraid to let a student know when he or she is doing something wrong. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Hobbies

Having studied English and History, some of my favourite things to do are to read, watch plays, and watch a lot of Netflix. That last one might seem like I'm just at home watching TV, but I believe that any kind of writing--including television--can be studied and analyzed and is rich in creativity. I love to travel, and I'm a big 'story teller'. I find that sharing my own experiences through story telling gives students an appreciation for literature. I am passionate about teaching and literacy, otherwise I wouldn't have been doing it for the last 8 years and counting!
