All of our senior coaches have a graduate degree in the social sciences or humanities, and our junior coaches all have a Bachelor of Arts from Canadian and American universities. All coaches have extensive editing and mentoring experience, and an emphatic, compassionate, and student-focused approach to learning. Our CEO (me - Lisa) is a graduate from the University of Alberta, University of Toronto, and Peking University. She has over 20 years experience coaching students of all levels in academic, professional, and creative writing. Hobbies
Our coaches have a variety of personal and community-based hobbies, ranging from reading, to gardening, to beekeeping. We have an eclectic group of talented and kind writers, editors, and teachers on our team. I personally enjoy reading non-fiction, biographies, and business books, as well as novels and short stories. I'm an avid journaller, and enjoy all types of writing. I've been swimming since I was 4 years old, and try to hit the pool weekly. I also play sports: baseball, badminton, squash, soccer, ski, and skate. I'm not particularly good at any of them, but I try. I also love cooking, baking, gardening, and anything foodie. I also like crafts and creating art for my home and others. Nature makes me happy. Basically, I like things that take me outdoors, engages my creative mind, and keeps me active and social.
