Michael P.
Private tutor in Toronto, Canada
Education
Graduate of Douglas College in New Westminster, BC. Received a BBA with a major in Accounting.
Experience
I have been tutoring individuals and small groups since 2002. During 2008 to 2010 I volunteered at SIGMA Secondary school (where I had graduated in 2003) as a tutor. I also gained more experience and CRLA (College Reading & Learning Association) certification. I have tutored a wide range of students from middle school students to `returning learners` at college and students with learning disabilities to a national collegiate badminton champion. Tutoring for over ten years has taught me how to focus on the needs of others, and adapt my abilities, in order to be productive and as helpful to them as possible. I find it very rewarding knowing that I have enabled others to do better.

Hobbies
In addition to being a bit of a numbers geek, I am also an avid sports fan. In my spare time I am typically watching sports, solving puzzles (mainly sudoku recently), or playing poker. I have the ability to adapt to the tone and pace of the student and can use many analogies based on the students` likes and interests.
