Yaj B.

Private tutor in Toronto, Canada

Education

I have both an MS and Ph.D. in Physics from York University, earning the former in 1997 and the latter in 2005.

Experience

I have over 25 years of professional physics tutoring experience that runs the gamut from high school physics to AP Physics to the material on the SAT Subject Test in Physics. I'm also available to tutor first-year university physics. If you're taking a high-stakes physics exam, I can combine an academic review of concepts such as Newton's Law of Gravitation with test-specific tips and tricks to help you feel comfortable heading into your exam. For example, whether a given exam penalizes incorrect responses more than leaving something blank dramatically changes how you should approach it. I can also go back and review foundational concepts if they've slipped your mind. For instance, quantitative concepts such as integral equations are essential to success in many physics courses but physics instructors seldom teach them directly.
