I believe that when a student does not understand a concept, it is largely the responsibility of the teacher and not of the student. Every student is unique, and the ability of a teacher to explain ideas in multiple ways is the key to ensuring that each student gains the fundamental knowledge necessary to build themselves to expert status. As a tutor, I strive to build a love of learning, a passion for speaking, and the ability to recognize and overcome communication barriers in each and every one of my students. My past experience includes being the National Debate Coordinator at McLeese Debate, coaching for debate and the Jeux De Commerce (a business case competition at the Ted Rogers School of Management) at Ryerson University and Upper Canada College, teaching public speaking and debate, and being Vice-President and Education Coordinator for the York University Debate Society
