Madeline S.
Private tutor in Toronto, Canada
Education
I am currently earning my J.D. at the University of Toronto. I hold a Master's in History of Science from the University of Toronto. During my studies, I maintained a 4.0 GPA. I also earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in 2015, where I maintained a 3.75 GPA.
Experience
My experience includes working as a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto beginning in 2016. I have also worked as an English teacher at an academy in Namyangju, South Korea, from 2015 to 2016. I passed my LSAT on the first attempt in the 95th percentile. I am a kind and approachable tutor, and I care deeply about the success of my students. As a teaching assistant, I have received consistently positive feedback. Many of my students have commented on my intuitive ability to explain complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms. I tailor each session using the student's preferred learning method. I help students make individualized plans to do their best on the LSAT.

Hobbies
I am a voracious reader (my recent particular interest is in medical anthropology), a lover of travel, and a dilettante in baking. I believe in life-long learning, and the power of hard work. I have spent time both studying (in Ecuador) and teaching (in South Korea) abroad, and have developed considerable intercultural competency and ability to communicate across language barriers. Whether as a student or a teacher, I always give 100% effort.
