Education
I'm a licensed paralegal. I have a Paralegal Diploma from Durham College, where I graduated with high distinction and received a scholarship for obtaining the highest GPA. I've also taken law courses at the University level and obtained an A+ in all of the subjects I took.
Experience
I have been studying law seriously for just over five years. Throughout my formal legal education, I excelled greatly in all of the subjects that were taught. Throughout my studies, I tutored many students having difficulty with various law courses. Those whom I have tutored went on to do very well in their courses and on quizzes, tests, etc. When I teach, I always try to bring in real-world examples instead of going by the textbook word for word as well as bringing in problem questions to work on for all of the important concepts. I am very confident that if you will gain a lot from our tutoring sessions and, with hope, take a liking to the courses that you may not have had an interest in. If I hadn't pursued a career in law, teaching would have been my second choice as I really enjoy it. In addition to law, I have experience tutoring at the high school level, tutoring students with their English writing (e.g. writing essays, constructing and expressing arguments, developing a strong thesis, various writing assignments, etc.). I've been a licensed Paralegal for the past two years and have been working in a law firm since 2014. As part of my current responsibilities, I assist with the hiring and training of law students which includes helping them improve their legal writing, legal research, understanding various complex legal arguments, analyzing cases, as well as any questions they may have about the law from time to time.
