I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History and a separate Bachelor of Education degree in Education. I am also a certified teacher in the province of Ontario and hold a valid Teaching English as a Second Language certification.

I have ten years of experience teaching academic English and English as a Foreign Language at Columbia International College. I specialize in helping students prepare for the IELTS and general Writing exams. My job allows me to work with people all over the world and I think that's AWESOME! I particularly enjoy helping IELTS candidates do their best on the exam so that they can embark on the next phase of their lives. I can help students with all levels of academic English as well, meaning that I can help students identify the prepositional phrases in a sentence, compose well-organized essays, and analyze how an author's tone affects how readers respond to their work.

I love travelling and I have been to many countries in Europe and Asia! During my travels, I have volunteered as a teacher in Belgium and Spain helping people learn to speak English.
