Experience

- I have been tutoring high school math for the past 15+ years and helped many students improve their confidence and grades, with most of them surpassing their own expectations and desires. - Many students who already struggle with math are finding the newly modified semester system's fast pace to be extremely challenging. - This fast pace leaves much less time to process and retain information. - I have been extremely successful with my students from this first quad-mester, so, please feel free to contact me in order to obtain references. - Please contact me to set up a free 30-min consultation so we can discuss your unique circumstances and goals

She wanted to become a veterinarian at that time, because she did not believe that she had the ability to achieve the grades necessary to attend medical school, like her mom. So, we created and implemented a plan to improve her study skills, note taking, test-prep, and mindset. She then achieved a 90% in grade 12 advanced functions, a 94% in calculus, and went on to pursue the university path of her dreams: Bachelor of Medical Sciences at Western University. A grade 3 student’s EQAO math results did not meet the province’s minimum requirements. We began working together shortly after she started grade 4. After working together diligently, her grade 6 report card showed her highest mark to be in math, an A, and her previous best subject, drama, was now a close second, with an -A. She is a free-spirit with a passion for the preforming arts. However, upon entering grade 8 with her new-found confidence, she had expressed interest in pursuing higher education in the area of criminal psychology and detective work. A student received a mark of 47% on his grade 9 mid-term math exam, just as we began working together. The transition to high school can be challenging, so, we put together a study schedule which enabled us to work ahead, discussed how to take effective notes, and how to prepare for, and learn from, tests. His grade 10 math mid-term mark showed a drastic improvement. He achieved a mark of 74% and told his mom he could probably finish with an 80%; there was a huge shift in his confidence. This student achieved a 90% in Advanced Functions, a 92% in Calculus, and even earned a scholarship to his first-choice university program.
