Education
I served an SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada) Postdoctoral Fellowship. I earned a Ph.D. in Political Science at York University, focusing on International Relations and Political Thought/Philosophy. I also have an M.A. in Political Science from York University and a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Experience
I have more than a decade of experience teaching at the university level in a number of subjects. For the past four years, I have worked as an instructor of 2000 level courses for Trent University, and at Seneca more recently. I am available to facilitate and support people with disabilities. I am able to coach and counsel around life skills and daily planning. I have worked with a variety of students with learning and intellectual disabilities, as well as high school students, again, in the area of social sciences and humanities. I have training in communication facilitation and aim to encourage you to realize your personal best. I am an editor and writer. I am accessible for such work in the area of social sciences and humanities. My students find my writing tutorials and workshops quite useful, and I provide one on one time with them to assist them to best develop these abilities. Writing is of special importance as it develops vital skills, including, critical thinking, communication, and composition, all essential to doing well on any subject in the social sciences. Alternatively, if you are interested in editing, I have experience in the role of a journal and book editor. I have published work with a major publishing house and produced peer-reviewed journals. Lastly, if you require assistance with a grant, scholarship, proposal writing or letters of submission, university prep, or counsel, you may also choose me. I have been successful at receiving numerous awards and scholarships, including the SSHRC postdoctoral award listed above.

Hobbies
I integrate much of my theoretical and textual work with my artistic practices, such as dance-theater performance, music and song, as well as visual art. I also love animals and being outdoors. I enjoy reading poetry/ literature from a number of disciplines, most of all concerning ecology, the body-mind relationship, and animals. Do note that I am available to online tutor for $40 per hour depending on the subject, level of difficulty, and frequency (if you are in financial need we can discuss the price to accommodate you.
