Norm T.
Private tutor in Toronto, Canada
Education
I have a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, I also have a Bachelor of Arts in English from York University in Toronto. Before changing majors, I was studying for a Bachelor of Education.
Experience
I am a lawyer and a college professor who lives and works in the downtown Toronto area. I have 7 years of experience teaching a variety of business and law courses at Humber College and George Brown College (both undergraduate and graduate programs). I have a 4.7 out of 5 rating and 100% of students said they would take a course with me again. I also have more than 15 years of experience as a lawyer (in private practice, as a prosecutor, as a policy advisor to the Ontario government and as in-house counsel for a private corporation). My overall teaching style is relaxed. My goal is to demystify the subject and make it less intimidating and more approachable. I tailor my approach based on each student's individual needs and ability to grasp and absorb the material. I use many examples from real life cases to illustrate each concept and principle. I progress at the speed best suited to each student. I am very patient and non-judgmental. I teach on a part-time basis because I love teaching any student who is interested in learning. If you are interested in the law, I can help you.
