Experience
I have a PhD in Biotechnology and currently work as a research fellow at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. I was interested in Biology since my childhood. After participating in National Biology Olympics in my school years I have joined Masters and then PhD program to further pursue my interest. I have acquired extensive theoretical knowledge during my student years. After this, while working in several research laboratories of the USA and Canada, I also accumulated significant practical experience in numerous applied fields of Biology. After training a number of students during their summer and Masters projects I have developed desire to share my acquired knowledge and experience with those who could use it to improve their understanding of Biology. My philosophy of learning that come from practice is that in order to know something you need to understand it first. During my studies and work I have developed deep understanding of numerous aspects and fields of Biology and now looking to share it with the others. I can help with class assignments and preparation for presentations and debates. My knowledge of academic system can help students make informed career choice shall they choose to pursue career in academia or biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
