Education
Hello there! I graduated in 2016 with an Honours B.A. degree in philosophy from York University in Toronto, and I started an MA degree in psychology at the University of West Georgia (UWG) thereafter, which has served as one of the centres of humanistic psychological research and education in North America for the past 50 years. I graduated from UWG this year and received my MA in psychology with a 4.0 GPA. I will be starting my PhD degree in Clinical Psychology at Duquesne University, located in Pittsburgh, in the upcoming Fall. In the meantime, I hope to put my knowledge and competence to good use and help out students in need of improvement in various content areas (e.g., psychology, philosophy, cognitive science) as well as skills (critical thinking, essay composition, logical analysis) that are necessary for educational success!
Experience
I have two years of previous tutoring experience within the following disciplines: philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science. I have also taught essay composition and argumentation to students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels. I have won a national award at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association in 2017 for the Best Student Paper presented at Division 24 of the APA, The Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology. I was also nominated by the psychology department at the University of West Georgia for the Mike Arons Award, a prestigious departmental award granted to a single applicant annually for their distinguishing work and service within the field of humanistic psychology. Besides my various academic achievements, I have published 2 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 1 book chapter, and one textbook, and am currently working on two additional research articles I hope to get published later this year. I am a prolific writer and thinker, and a very clear communicator of ideas. I have been told that teaching is like second nature to me, meaning that my teaching style is very easy to understand. I try my best to meet my students where they are, but only in the service of helping them truly become what they could be.

Hobbies
I love reading and writing, but I also play the guitar, paint, do martial arts, and am concerned with fitness and leading a healthy lifestyle. I'm very laid back, but am also equally poignant in my speech. My hope is to help people feel comfortable in my presence, but to also connect not on the basis of what's easy, but rather what's personally meaningful.
