Nigel M.
Private tutor in Toronto, Canada
Education
I have a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Science from Queen's University. I have a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto.
Experience
I can help students with a number of computer science and programming skills. I was a Teaching Assistant for a cross-listed Computer Graphics course (CSC418) at the University of Toronto for 5 years while I was a student there. I currently work as a researcher at a prominent software company, doing research on 3D design systems. My focus is on geometry and optimization and applying it to mechanical engineering and design problems. These 1-on-1 sessions allow me to focus on the most relevant content for a particular student. Students can go through the material at whatever pace is best for them. Without having to accommodate other students, I can provide guidance that is tailored to the goals of each student.

Hobbies
I taught myself to program as a teenager with just a command glossary. I wrote computer games for fun and enjoyed both the visual and logical aspects. As a hobby I still create mobile games in Unity and other mobile apps from time to time.
