I have a masters degree in politics from the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto and I love everything about research and writing. I finished my masters degree with a 4.0 GPA and won three major research awards last year. Before my academic career, I worked a journalist at the Toronto Star for two years, and I earned a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University.

In my professional life, I've worked at Human Rights Watch as a researcher, the University of Toronto as a research assistant, and for several organizations in Norway. Currently, I'm the deputy editor for the Arctic Institute, a non-profit organization that connects scholars from all over the world and publishes their academic work. I'm hoping to start a PhD in Russian History in fall 2020 at Columbia University. Do you find writing essays and proposals intimidating?
