Experience
I have been a Teaching Assistant and Course Instructor in Criminology, Sociolegal Studies, and Sociology for ten years. During that time, I supported many students in assignment preparation, essay writing and editing, and developing good study strategies. I have also completed a Teaching in Higher Education course, which helped me to hone my approach to university teaching, and to understand how students learn. I enjoy teaching immensely, and love seeing my students improve as we work together. I can provide impressive teaching evaluations and references from students I worked with and taught in the past.

Hobbies
I am passionate about social justice and many of my courses have focused on investigating the sources and impacts of social inequality in society. I have lived in Toronto for fifteen years, and I love the city - it's a huge reason that I have come to study urban issues. I spend a lot of my spare time at arts performances like dance shows and live music in the city. I also play the flute in the Toronto Concert Band, sing in a local choir, and practice hoop dance.
