Experience

4 years of experience with helping students with their academics. I was involved in a program called Leading to Reading at the Toronto Public Library and it was aimed to help children who were reading below their grade level. It's what made me pursue a career in Child and Youth Work. I found joy in helping children/youth realize their full potential. Through my schooling and work employment, I got the opportunity to tutor students who were either having a difficult time with their homework or had trouble focusing and setting guidelines for themselves. I am currently doing my studies in Autism and Behavioural Sciences and recognize that students with Autism Spectrum Disorder learn differently, but have strengths that can be nurtured. I enjoy challenges and figuring out new teaching strategies.
