I am currently an undergraduate student (going into my 2nd year) at the University of Toronto, where I am majoring in computer science. I plan on pursuing two minors: one in statistics and the other in economics.
Experience
I have previously tutored middle and high school students in both mathematics and English. I gave my O levels (British system, equal to 12th grade level in Canada) and achieved 7 A stars in English language, English literature, mathematics, additional mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology. I also gave my A levels (British system, advanced level equal to many Canadian first-year university courses) and achieved 4 A's (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology). My SAT score was 1490/1600. During my first year at university, I have developed further skills in programming and taken courses based on writing (which improved my overall essay skills). Hobbies
I love learning a lot of new skills! I spend a lot of my free time: - coding (currently in python) - painting/drawing - reading (mostly suspense) - puzzles (crosswords, sudoku etc) I personally loved my experience teaching at a tuition centre so I believe this will be a great experience as well. I'm easy to connect with and would love to teach anyway the learner is comfortable learning. (if you haven't yet found your preferred method of learning we could discover it together!)
