Trevor M.
Private tutor in Toronto, Canada
Education
3rd Year Applied Mathematics major at the University of Toronto. My focus is primarily on applied mathematics. I am well versed in single and multivariable calculus, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, and probability and statistics. As I continue my studies I will become more well versed in computer science as well diving deeper into theoretical materials.
Experience
I am currently tutoring two high school students in mathematics and I find it incredibly fulfilling. Both students saw at least a 10% increase in their marks helping one achieve and A and the other a B+. Prior to switching programs to mathematics I chose to go to adult high school and retake mathematics. I made efforts to help those where English was a second language. This made me realize that sometimes the math itself isn't the problem, but how it is presented.

Hobbies
I currently work retail part time while in school. I'm also a mature student so I understand what it feels like to try and keep up with life and studies. I've been playing guitar since I was 13, and I used to be quite involved in sports. I love watching the three major North American sports (NHL, MLB, and NBA.) I'm an animal lover. I also love to play video games whenever I have time to play them.
