Experience
Music: I have completed Basic to Advanced Harmony, Counterpoint, and Analysis in the RCM curriculum. I am currently a teaching assistant for Music Theory I at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, which is the equivalent of Basic-Intermediate Harmony. I have taken graduate level courses in Music History and Music Theory. In my music theory teaching, I focus on teaching transferrable problem solving strategies to help students excel in RCM exams. I focus on understanding and applying music theory concepts in multiple repertoire genres, so that students feel confident in applying their theory skills. Sciences: I have taken all of the pre-requisite undergraduate life science courses (BIO120, BIO130, PSY100, MAT135) and I can tutor in biology, neuroscience, and psychology. I have taken and excelled in graduate level neuroanatomy and neuroscience courses. Writing: As a graduate student in neuroscience and as a music theorist, I have experience in academic writing for the sciences and humanities.
