Hi there! I am a friendly and enthusiastic graduate from York University with a degree in Gender & Women's Studies. I later developed an interest in film theory and production while attending university, so I have also completed a Certificate in Film Studies from Ryerson University. While I was (and still am) very enthusiastic about social justice and enjoyed my gender studies classes, I also took anthropology, english literature, media studies, and film/TV theory courses. Therefore, I have a wide variety of experience writing for different topics and in different citation styles. All the better to help you with your writing/reading needs! I am passionate about communication and writing, in particular when the subject is social justice. If you need help with writing skills, editing/proofreading, or organizing essay ideas, I would love to lend a hand. I am an extremely experienced academic writer with a strong sense of essay writing style, format, and organization. I have over 6 years of experience editing/proofreading essays, short written assignments, and resumes for my peers (and sometimes friends!) both during and after University. Hobbies
In my spare time I love to play the guitar or ukulele and sing. It brings me great joy to spend time with other musicians/singers and jam together. I also love watching and discussing films; how they're made, what they mean, and how they fit into film history. I have a burgeoning interest in video editing that has been very rewarding thus far. Lastly, I am a huge bookworm. I come from a family of readers and academics. I have a longstanding love affair with fiction books and it has helped immensely with my own academic career! This is something I hope to share with my students if that's something they struggle with.
