Education

I am a Certified Teacher, qualified to teach the following subjects: English, History, Special Education, and English as a Second Language. My qualifications are in the Intermediate/Senior divisions (Grades 7-12), although I also have experience working with students in the lower grade levels (Grade 1 and up). I graduated from York University as a History Major and English Minor, and won various awards and scholarships. I also graduated with the highest distinction, Summa Cum Laude.

Experience

I have tutored students from Grades 1-12 through an After-School Tutoring and Mentoring Program. I have also had experience with private tutoring. Currently, I am a teaching assistant at Kumon Math and Reading Centre, where I assist students of all ages with reading and comprehension, and help them to improve their writing skills. I am also working as a tutor at a private tutoring centre, where I assist high school students with essay writing.
