Experience
I have experience working with students K-8 and students with learning disabilities, ESL and special needs as an assistant to teachers in the classroom. I have taken a variety of courses that involve intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and developmental psychology. I am able to work with students of a variety of ages, including high school as well as fellow university students. When working with students in K-8, I am able to tutor in any subjects or skills. I have worked with students in these grades with a variety of needs in all subjects, including math, english, and science. In terms of high school or university students, my strengths are in the Social Sciences, such as psychology, anthropology, and sociology. I am also able to work with students in organizational and study skills, as well as writing and presentations. I want to be a tutor in order to gain further experience in helping students reach their full potential, as helping others learn is what I love to do. I am aware of the challenges that many students face throughout their academic career, and I would love to provide the skills and support needed to overcome these challenges.
