Experience
I have been tutoring in Latin since January 2012. I completed a year as a research assistant for an associate professor in English and Mediaeval studies in the 2011-2012 school year. I have been awarded several scholarships for my academic success, including the 2018 UC Berkeley Summer Greek Bursary (worth $3, 000 USD) to study Ancient Greek at Berkeley; an OGS for graduate study (worth $15, 000); St. Michael's College Silver Medal (awarded on graduating with high academic standing); the 2010-2011 and the 2011-2012 St. Michael's College In-Course Scholarship (each worth $1, 200), and the Summer 2012 Walter and Mary Tuohy Award (worth $4, 000) for study abroad, which enabled me to spend the summer in Italy studying literature. I have passed U of T's Centre for Medieval Studies' Master's and PhD level Latin exams. I have taken courses in Latin at the 100, 200, 300, 400, Master's level, and PhD level in both Classical and Mediaeval Latin. I have never received a mark under an A in Latin. I earned A+ in Latin Prose, Mediaeval Latin Literature and my fourth year Latin Composition seminar. I received an A at Berkeley's Summer Greek Workshop, which is an intensive program worth nearly two year's of Greek. I have studied Old English, History of the English Language and Linguistics, so I am very well equipped to teach English, either as a second language or to those who would like to improve their grammar or writing ability.
