Honours BA in English and History(2007) - University of Toronto Master of Arts (2008)- University of Toronto Doctor of Philosophy (started 2009; resigned July 2012; I completed coursework and passed the field exam with flying colours. However, I resigned this summer due to personal commitments; as doctoral student, I specialized in Canadian literature, Christianity in literature and satire)
Experience
2005-2014: Independent tutor/editor. I worked primarily with undergrads, providing essay help and exam prep in subjects as various as English, History, Classics, Art History, Political Science and Criminology. I also edited several professors' manuscripts for publication. 2009-2014: Teaching assistant at Queen's University Department of English (Kingston, Ontario). Duties include grading, editing, one-on-one consultations, exam prep and lecturing July 2010: Published my first scholarly, peer-reviewed article ( in Journal of Mennonite Studies, an interdisciplinary journal published by University of Winnipeg. 2009: Attended two professional conferences -- the biannual Mennonites Writing (Winnipeg) and the annual Canadian Association of Commonwealth Literatures and Languages (Ottawa) I speak fluent Korean and competent French.
