Education

I obtained a PhD and MA in Psychology (Cognitive Neuroscience specialization) from Ryerson University, where I graduated with a 4.22/4.33 GPA, and earned a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Doctoral Research Award worth $105,000, a CIHR Master's Award worth $17,500, and multiple merit-based awards/scholarships at the undergraduate level. I obtained my BSc (Hons) from York University where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Member of Dean's Honour Roll with a 8.26/9 GPA. I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow working at the Montreal Neurological Institute with Dr. Brenda Milner.

Experience

Over my graduate career, I was a Teaching Assistant for seven courses in Statistics (twice), Introduction to Psychology (three times), Social Psychology, and Psychopharmacology, where I worked with students in groups and individually. In addition, I was a Course Instructor for Introduction to Psychology, and this was one of my all-time favourite experiences in grad school. In addition to my extensive teaching experience, I have plenty of experience using SPSS, LOTS of writing experience (I wrote plenty of theses and published papers ;) ), and can definitely help with study skills (after nine years of post-secondary education, I've pretty much got it down pat). I can also help with GRE preparation, having myself scored 720 Quantitative, 580 Verbal, 5.5/6 Essay. On the Psychology GRE, I scored in the 96th percentile.
