Experience
I am a trained high school teacher, with experience working with students who have a variety of special needs. I spent a month teaching at an alternative school for at-risk Aboriginal youth in Ontario. I have previous experience tutoring English language learners, as a peer mentor for first and second year university students, and I have tutored high school students struggling in a variety of subjects. My strengths are helping students gain confidence, helping them access curriculum material in a way that is relevant and meaningful to them and teaching material to compliment different learning styles.
