My own background includes an honours double major in film and psychology, having graduated summa cum laude from York University in 2007. I earned my graduate degree in library sciences and research from the University of Toronto. I have additional certification in working with students with a learning disability or psychiatric disability and I am a recipient of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council award.
Experience
I am not specifically a content tutor. However, I have tutored students in assignment preparation and essay writing in many different areas, including English, psychology, humanities, social sciences, film, film studies, social work, history, policy and administration, women's studies, and theology. I have been a professional writing and study skills tutor for the past 19 years with specialized certification to work with students with learning and psychiatric disabilities, however, I tutor a wide range of students, from the high school to the Ph.D. level across a wide variety of subject areas.
