Education
I have a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering with Honours standing from the University of Toronto. This includes a Major in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Environmental Engineering. I also have an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma from high school and have experienced the process of completing this program from Monarch Park Collegiate Institute in Toronto.
Experience
I have 10+ years of experience tutoring high school math and physics ranging from grades 9 - 12 as well as SL IB math. I have tutored a range of different students with varying needs and expectations. I also have professional instruction and facilitation experience as a former teaching assistant for undergraduate engineering courses in 2018 at the University of Toronto. In addition to my tutoring and teaching experience, I have a degree in civil engineering and work full-time as a technical consultant in road design. I not only use math and physics on a daily basis, but have the ability to contextualize it. Bridging the gap between math in the classroom and math as a tool applied in the real world makes learning a significantly more enjoyable experience for students. Overall, I love to tutor math and physics and help students gain confidence in these often scary subjects. I take pride in the quality of instruction and attention that I provide.
