I have an MA in Linguistics from the University of Toronto, where my focus was Phonology. As a graduate student, I was trained in Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics, Field Linguistics, Historical Linguistics, Cognitive Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, and Language Acquisition. I also hold a BA in Linguistics from the University of Toronto with minors in Classical History and Music History as well as TESL/TEFL certification.
Experience
I have been teaching English (ESL) since 2004, and I've been a professional proofreader since 2008. I taught Linguistics classes during my Master's program at the University of Toronto, and I tutored Linguistics throughout my studies at the University of Toronto as well. I'm trained in all major fields of Linguistics, and I have advanced knowledge of Phonetics and Phonology, comprehensive knowledge of the English language, and a deep understanding of spelling, grammar, and word usage with knowledge of etymology.
