Our tutor's demographics and expertise vary, along with our educational backgrounds - all tutors have post-secondary degrees and/or graduate degrees. Our ESL teachers and tutors have completed TESL courses from recognized and accredited institutions in Canada, with a minimum of over 200 in-class unpaid hours obtained while working in accredited ESL education settings. Our educational backgrounds related to presentation skills include varying levels within a presentation program (i.e., Toastmasters International).


StrongMinds Education is the brainchild of Rosalind Armstrong. A graduate of York University and formally employed at York University, the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine, and Ryerson University, Rosalind has been a student advocate for many years. StrongMinds Education helps to develop, strengthen, and sharpen minds through education, critical thinking and 21st century skills. We specialize in providing educational services including tutoring (all grades and levels that include post-secondary and graduate levels), educational consulting, post-secondary admissions planning and preparatory services, career planning and preparation, adult education, English as a Second Language (ESL) and educational research. We enjoy being resourceful and assisting however we can, to ensure that information and knowledge is for all to benefit from and enjoy. Our tutor's experience varies. Although, a minimum of 1 year tutoring and teaching experience is a requirement. *Rates vary depending on our tutor's experience. A session is a minimum of 1 hour in length, and consists of both in-person and online. Minimum $20/session. Minimum $10/additional 30 minutes (i.e., a 1 hour & 30 minute session is a minimum of $30).
