I have a Bachelor's of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) and a Masters of Engineering, both from the University of Waterloo. I recently received my Professional Engineering license and will now begin studying for my GMAT.
Experience
I have dabbled in tutoring since high school and really enjoy it. I believe that a great tutor needs three key things: passion, dedication, and patience. If a student receives all three of these things, success is just around the corner. I work full-time in an engineering firm, allowing me to relate abstract concepts to their real-world applications to promote student understanding. I am comfortable helping students with a plethora of academic subjects, including Physics, 11th-grade mathematics, English, Statistics, Algebra 3/4, and Intermediate Algebra. I also have no problem with backtracking to concepts that my students have studied in the past if they are acting as a learning obstacle when trying to grasp current material.
