Education

I am currently a fourth year undergraduate student in the honors English Literature program at York University. Alongside, I am completing the TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate. I will be graduating in April 2017. My goal is to become a high school teacher of English Literature and Social Sciences.

Experience

I have tutored students from grades one through university. I have experience teaching various subjects, including English Literature, Psychology, Science, Math, History, Social Studies, and Geography. I have also assisted students in writing cover letters and resumes when applying for volunteer and part-time work positions. By tutoring, I have the opportunity to assist students with their schoolwork, utilizing and sharing my skill sets. I have also worked as a peer mentor at York University. This has enabled me to provide academic and personal support to students transitioning from high school to university. I have had the pleasure of providing mentoring to students who are now on their way towards completing their degree with success.
