I attended Langara College in Vancouver, BC for two years before transferring to the University of British Columbia in 2011. I graduated from UBC in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English Literature and minoring in Philosophy. My GPA was an 85% (A). I started my Masters of Arts in English at the University of Toronto in September of 2014, and I am due to complete my Masters in July. My GPA is a 4.0 (A).
Experience
I've worked as an Editor for two undergraduate journals at the University of British Columbia. I have 3 years experience vetting papers through a peer-reviewed process, providing suggestions to the authors to increase their paper's clarity and argumentation, and editing for spelling, grammar, and citation style. I have also worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Chun in the Sociology department at the University of Toronto. I edited and formatted papers for publication, as well as communicated with international grassroots organizations for Professor Chun's SSHRC Partnership Development Grant. I also wrote and revised the letters of support from the international organizations Professor Chun partnered with. I have taken a wide variety of classes throughout my studies, and my areas of specialty are Critical Theory, Media Studies, English Literature, Sociology, and Philosophy.
