Hello, my name is Maria and I am a private tutor located in Toronto, Canada. I have recently retired from teaching full-time and I am an expert at teaching reading to young children. In addition to offering tutoring in the subject areas of English, writing, and reading, I am also available to help you prepare for the GRE Subject Test in Literature in English. The power of private tutoring is that it gives instructors an opportunity to focus on the academic needs of a single child at a time. I have more than twenty-five years of experience teaching elementary and middle school language and math. This gives me intimate knowledge of the Ontario curriculum. I've additionally earned special education and ESL qualifications and I'm an expert in Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) preparation.
