I earned a Specialized Communication Studies Bachelor of Arts from York University in 2008, a Master of Teaching degree from OISE University of Toronto in 2011, and a TESOL from the University of Toronto in 2012.
Experience
I am an experienced Canadian teacher who has also taught students in China, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Italy, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Columbia, and Panama (just to name a few), so I understand how to teach English to all kinds of students. Some of the classes I have taught in the past include TOEFL, IELTS, Business English, EAP (all four skills), Presentation Skills, and Advanced Composition Skills. I'm currently teaching Academic Listening and Speaking at the University of Toronto and Advanced Conversation Skills at George Brown. I also have tons of experience editing essays and reports and created a Film Studies course when I lived in Beijing, China. While I am primarily an ESL/ELL tutor, I can also teach high school-level English and public speaking skills.

Hobbies
Definitely for me, my experiences in Asia have been the best experiences in my life. I lived in China for three years, and I was able to see quite a bit of the country. I was also able to travel nearby to Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the UAE. My travels definitely allowed me to see parts of the world and experience things that are still very dear to me here in Toronto. I am very much interested in pop culture and coffee culture!
