I earned my undergraduate degree in education with a focus on Spanish, Spanish literature, Latin American studies, and teaching methodology.
Experience
I am a native Spanish speaker who for the last sixteen years has been teaching Torontonians the simplicity of mastering Spanish. I am a Spanish tutor for students of all ages, including university level and adults learning the language to further their corporate careers and travelers who want to enhance their Spanish and Latin cultural experiences by becoming more comfortable with the language. I am also available for translation and interpretation services. My experience includes teaching Spanish at the university level at the Instituto Superior Pedagogico Enrique Jose Varona in Havana and the Latin American School of Medical Sciences in Cuba. I have also taught Spanish at the high school level in both Cuba and Ontario. As an instructor, I have provided classes in Spanish, Spanish Literature, and History for international students. I have also designed and taught programs for students to prepare them for government entry exams for university. Additionally, I have provided ongoing teacher training workshops.
