Education
I earned my undergraduate degree in science with a focus on child studies from Concordia University in 2006. I then went on to earn my graduate degree in adult education and community development from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) of the University of Toronto in 2015.
Experience
I have experience working as a Student Services Officer which included being informed on the best practices for study skills and organizational techniques, essay consultations, and editing. I have also worked as an advisor for students in grades seven through twelve and have an extensive understanding of a range of social-emotional, relationships, and wellness-based themes. I have extensive experience tutoring students in a variety of subject areas, including running a program tutoring non-readers in literacy and numeracy strategies. I also have experience assisting students in grades four through six with their math work. I currently work at an elite private school and have access to lots of resources, specialists, and strategies should I need more information or to retool an approach on something I am tutoring.
