I just successfully finished my first year at the University of Toronto. I was originally admitted into coo-op Neuroscience, but, after realizing my interests, I have changed my mind to pursue Mental Health Studies/Psychology with a minor in Biology. Currently, my first year GPA stands at a 3.79.
Experience
Took first year biology courses with lab work. Obtained a straight 4.0 GPA. Also took first year psychology courses. Obtained a 4.0 GPA. Throughout highschool, I was a honour roll recipient, with the exception of Grade 9. In grade 10, I received the Science Academic Plaque, for getting the highest science mark in academic grade 10, which was 98 %. Was offered scholarships to university. I have also previously tutored my younger sister in subject areas such as math/science/english, and her grades improved. I am also currently a soccer coach at Scarborough Eastsiders Soccer Club, where I teach children the basics of soccer, including the rules/regulations of the sport, organizing/forming strategic team formations, organizing drills to improve performance, etc. This position has allowed for the development of stronger leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, which I will apply to tutoring.
