My name is Yolanda Xiao, or Xiao Min for short. I am a Mandarin Chinese teacher with over 5,000 hours of professional teaching experience. I also founded XM Mandarin and am passionate about teaching Chinese online. I find that the secret to learning a foreign language is to apply new information within a conversational context as quickly as possible, helping it feel practical rather than academic. My students have told me that I offer the perfect blend of academic exercises and practical experience to deepen their understanding of Mandarin. I also try to keep meetings lighthearted and strive to tailor lessons for the individual needs of each of my students.
