Hobbies

Hello! I'm Allie. I'm a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S. I have extensive experience with AP, Pre-SAT, SAT, ACT, and GRE exams. I was identified as a gifted student at a young age. As a result, I skipped first grade and was placed in accelerated reading and math programs, leading me to graduate high school at age 16. Upon graduating high school in the U.S., I returned to Canada for university, drawn by the affordable tuition and thriving, multicultural city of Toronto. I am passionate about research and will be pursuing a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at Duke University. Specifically, I research memory! Over the years, I've learned many tricks for learning and remembering. My ultimate goal is to become a professor. I've always been driven by an intrinsic love of learning. I wish to share my knowledge and instill in others the same sense of passion and curiosity that I have for my studies. In my free time, I love getting involved with the performing arts. I act in the theatre and sing in choirs. As a long-time thespian, I am confident interacting with others and know how to make learning fun.
