I have a bachelor's degree in urban geography, a master's in social-policy planning, a doctorate in rehabilitation science, and a Certificate of Advanced Training in Qualitative Health Research Methodology. On top of these credentials, my work experience spans 25 years in research, editing, and writing within academia.
Experience
As a tutor, I like to focus on finding students' strengths, which they can use to meet their challenges and build their confidence. I've been tutoring graduate students on academic writing for over 20 years. I also tutor undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities through the University of Toronto's Accessibility Services. I offer guidance on essay organization, time management, academic reference styles, and how to best meet the requirements of assignments. My specialty is qualitative research in the social sciences.
