I have a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from UofT. I've received numerous awards at both domestic and international scientific conferences and am the lead author of a high-impact scientific discovery that has gained international interest in the field of neurodevelopment. I've also generated several peer-reviewed research publications in high-impact journals. I also have an M.Sc. in Biology from McMaster University, where my work led to a publication in a highly respected scientific journal. I earned a B.Sc. in Zoology (Specialization in Biotechnology) from the American College in India, where I received the prestigious Best Outgoing Student award at the undergraduate level.
Experience
I was employed as a teaching assistant (TA), during my days as a graduate student at both McMaster University and UofT. I have had the pleasure of mentoring several undergrad students during my time as a Ph.D. student at UofT. I also have a genuine passion for teaching and with over a decade of experience in leading scientific research, I have a unique talent for simplifying complex information and making it more accessible to students such that they can easily grasp difficult scientific concepts and develop a genuine appreciation and love for science. As a teaching assistant at McMaster University, my responsibilities were leading weekly tutorials for a group of 40-50 students, mentoring students on their academic needs and providing critical feedback on their performance, educating students on the scientific method and critical thinking, invigilating exams, and grading. I have over 10 years of experience in Genetics, Molecular, Cell & Developmental Biology.
