Ali R.

Private tutor in Toronto, Canada

Education

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in Telecommunication Systems at Ryerson University. Previously, I earned my Ph.D. and MSc in Electrical Engineering and Communication Systems and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

I began tutoring as a volunteer when I was in high school for middle school students struggling in math. As an undergraduate and graduate student, I discovered that I love to teach as much as I love to learn. Helping others understand something reinforced my own understanding of the material. I am still able to teach and solve problems from courses I took 10 years ago. My goal is to help my students succeed, especially in difficult technical subjects such as math, algebra, and electrical engineering courses, where instructor ability and commitment is often lacking. I consider it an accomplishment if my students have accomplished what they set out to achieve. I am very flexible with time. I prefer to tutor in public places and to meet my students around halfway in distance. Some of the areas I can tutor include Electrical Engineering Courses, Digital Circuits and Systems, Digital Communications I & II, Complex Numbers, and Statistics.
