Experience
I am a native German and have been teaching German to beginning, intermediate and advanced students for the last two years. I combine new vocabulary and grammar with role play within various social situations (e.g. in the restaurant, on the air plane, at a reception). Students are more motivated to memorize new words and digest grammar when it is applied to real world situations. As a result, students are learning more and also enjoying the experience. I also tutor in several subjects: Human Geography, Urban Design and Development, and American and European History. I studied these subjects on the graduate level, taught history and geography at several universities, and worked as an Urban Planner for many years.
