Toronto French School - IB Math Teacher, MYP Design Teacher, Learning Strategies Level I, II, III and Math/Science Fieldstone King’s College School – Summer Teacher – Grade 12 Calculus Upper Canada College Horizons Summer Teaching Assistant and Program Organizer CanadaQBank Question & Case Developer Upper Canada College regular tutor My name is Jeremy Konrad Young, I am a 27-year-old who recently completed medical school at the Saba University School of Medicine (SUSOM). I graduated from York University with First Class Honors with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Philosophy. Prior to that I completed the International Baccalaureate program at Vaughan Road Academy, receiving a total of 38/45 with very high marks in biology, chemistry and mathematics. I am an in credibly dedicated student and have always strived to be knowledgeable, curious and eager to grow. For 5 years I was a teaching assistant and program organizer for the Horizons Summer camp program at Upper Canada College where I was primarily involved in tutoring, mentoring and assisting the students in their pursuit of knowledge. In addition to that I have been involved with tutoring in high school, university, medical school and out of school entirely, mostly in the subjects of mathematics, biology and chemistry. I am hoping that my CV and past experience in the field of teaching others makes me suitable for a position working at your institution. Before I begin my work as a full time practicing physician starting in July of 2017, I find myself wanting to yet again involve myself in the teaching and helping of others. I understand both the IB and high school curriculums quite well and believe that I can very quickly jump in and help students who are struggling with the materials. As I have just completed my schooling, my availability is very open and flexible. I hope you find that I am qualified for the position of being a tutor and I would be most grateful to interview and discuss in person more about why I believe I would be beneficial to your program. Thank you very much for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing back from you.
