Anita T.
Private tutor in Toronto, Canada
Education
I earned a Bachelor's of Applied Sciences in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto with double Minors in Business and Sustainable Energy in April 2017. I am also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Experience
One of the proudest moments of my life is serving as a TA for over 25 students in an Orientation to Engineering course. Failure can be difficult to deal with, and I took great pride in helping aspiring engineers learn how to cope with it. I have also held career-building events for over 500 undergraduate engineering students. Furthermore, I have worked with WISE to promote STEM interest in over 25 local high schools. I have also been fortunate enough to win numerous awards during my life, including first place in the Mechanical Engineering Fourth Year Capstone Design Showcase, the Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award, first place in two separate Case Competitions, the Lisa Anne Hamann Memorial "Women in Leadership Award, and the NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award.

Hobbies
Nice to meet you! I am always looking for opportunities to become a leader with a purpose. To look at challenges as opportunities and to lead with the intent to inspire and be inspired. This past year, I had the opportunity to teach first year engineering students and help bring them to be future leaders of the school community and beyond. Following graduation, I look forward to working at Accenture as a Consulting Analyst, bringing together my skills of innovative design, engineering, and business thinking into one holistic approach. My hobbies include volunteering abroad, getting lost in cities, and baking delicious bribe-able treats.
